This
new online
program
explores the personal challenges
or blind spots
that advisers
can encounter
when
identifying and
responding to ethical dilemmas
in their day-to-day work.
Its
overall aim is to
assist
them become more aware - in practical
ways - of the
things which influence this response.
The explores
how directly impact their perception as a
trusted adviser and all that accompanies that
position.
Advisers have to work hard to reverse the perception
that the failure of product is also the failure of
advice. So, more than ever, planners have to
be self-aware
and clear about their
personal branding including their ethical reputation – and where and
why it may fail them.
The ETHICS IN PRACTICE
program looks at:
-- How the TRUSTED ADVISER
ethical profile
is built and why its vulnerable
-- Personal ETHICAL
VALUES (... why just thinking I’m ethical is not
enough)
-- The BLIND SPOTS that
confront us around conflict, persuasion or
enticement
-- Industry-relevant
CASE STUDIES to tease out some of the issues and to
practise your analysis of situations
-- The FPA CODE OF
ETHICS – its objectively or subjectivity in
this process
-- REFLECTIVE PRACTICE
and MINDFULNESS TECHNIQUES – to build mental clarity
in decision making.
ONLINE format
activities: reading, videos, quick quizzes,
audio, downloadable reference sheets for case study
and assessment preview.
Final assessment is:
-- in quiz format and submitted by auto email
-- a manual process of individual appraisal of each
submission

Around 60 to 80 minutes
